Mr. Belgacem CHARIAG is President of Global Operations for Baker Hughes Incorporated. In this role, he leads the company’s global operations in 9 geographical regions and over 80 countries.

He is responsible for driving operational performance, exceptional service and sales execution, as well as delivering strong operating profits throughout Baker Hughes’ footprint.
Prior to his current role, Mr. CHARIAG was Vice President and Chief Integration Officer for Baker Hughes, leading the company’s integration efforts during its proposed merger with Halliburton which was mutually terminated in May of 2016.
Previously, he was President, Global Products and Services managing Baker Hughes product lines and technology portfolio as well as its global manufacturing and supply chain. Prior to that, he served as President of the company’s Eastern Hemisphere operations from 2009 until 2013.
Before joining Baker Hughes, Mr. Chariag spent 20 years with Schlumberger. In his latest roles with the company, he was Vice President of Health, Safety, Environment, and Security, President of the Well Services business line, and Marketing Vice President for Europe, Caspian, and Africa. He also held a variety of leadership and management positions, including Managing Director in Egypt, East Africa, and the East Mediterranean Geomarket, as well as a variety of management, field operations, and technical positions around the world.
Mr.CHARIAG earned an MBA in global energy from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Texas.
